Thanksgiving, Belly Shots, and more...

It was really nice to go home for Thanksgiving. I hadn't been home since last New Year's. It was nice seeing my family and some extended family. We do two Thanksgiving dinners each year. My dad's family came over for lunch and my mom cooked an excellent Thanksgiving lunch. Then for dinner we went over to my grandma Haug's house for dinner. Tom and I both tried to not over eat at either dinner :). On Friday, Tom and I went shopping with my mom and bought baby Emma all kinds of clothes. I swear she has more clothes than Tom and myself, haha. On Saturday, my grandpa Gatlin was taken to the ER because he was having seizures. It was a scary day, but they are running tests and hopefully will figure out what is wrong with him. Overall, we had a fantastic visit and I really enjoyed the time with my family.

Here are some belly shots...I will be 25 weeks tomorrow. In my weekly email, it said that she grew 1/2 a pound last week, which is a lot because for the first 24 weeks she was only ONE pound total. She is really starting to move a lot, which is so exciting! I feel her every couple of hours and especially when I am trying to go to bed at night.

Every year my mom buys us personalized Christmas ornaments. I love them! It's so fun every year to go back through them and remember those special moments in our life. I can't wait to decorate for Christmas--probably next weekend! (I'll post pictures). I just wanted to share our newest ornament that my mom got us...it's so cute

Our Anniversary

Today is our one year wedding anniversary! I can't believe a whole year has passed since our wedding. We decided to stay the night at the Tradewinds (where we got married) to celebrate. It was funny, because a few of the staff told us that they remember our wedding (can't forget a Haug party-lol). There were three wedding going on last night. We went to dinner at Salt Rock, which is where we went for our anniversary when we first moved to Tampa. It was so yummy. Then we walked down the beach and just relaxed. It was very nice! Our cake was delicious. I think it was as good as on our wedding day. Here are some pictures:

Here is a picture of me from Haley's (Tom's sister's daughter)Birthday party. My belly is looking so big in the picture. It's funny how it looks different in different outfits. Next week, I'll be 24 weeks which is 6 months.

Riley

Cutest dog ever? We didn't want to forget our lil' guy with all the "new baby" posts. Riley will always be our first child, haha. He is getting so old. He will be four in March. He has really calmed down and likes to just chill now. Ever since we decorated the nursery, now we can find Riley sleeping in there sometimes, which is so cute.

Almost 22 Weeks..belly shots

Here are some pictures of me at 5 1/2 months pregnant. I think that my belly is really starting to "pop" out. Now, people who don't know me are starting to realize that I'm pregnant. I had a little girl at school, that I didn't know, come up to me and ask me if I had a baby in my belly. Ha-ha! I like that I finally look pregnant rather than just like I've gained weight. I can wear cute pregnancy shirts now, instead of trying to hide my belly. :) On a side note, I finally got my H1N1 vaccine. Thank goodness! There have been quite a few cases at my school, and I was getting really nervous. My OB-GYN wasn't offering shots until women reached their 3rd trimester, but I guess I made a good enough fight with being a school teacher and having asthma. It was a big stress relief. I have my 6 month check-up and glucose test the week of Thanksgiving. I can't believe how fast this is all going by! I have really started to feel her move. It is honestly the coolest thing! Tom is sad that he can't feel it from the outside, but I'm sure that is only a little bit away. I haven't felt any kicks, at least not that I know of, but I do feel movement.
In other news...Tom and I are staying the night at the Tradewinds in two weeks for our year anniversary. I can't wait! Then we are going home for Thanksgiving. I am so excited! I haven't been to Niceville since last New Year's. I think that is the longest that I've ever been away.
